Massage Therapy

Massage therapy is a well-known and widely-available modality that can play an important role in mental and physical wellness. There are many types of massage techniques, and many types of practitioners.

It is important to find the type of treatment that works best for you, so that you can gain all of its benefits, which include:

 Pain relief

 Stress reduction (physical, emotional, mental)

Increased range of motion and mobility

 Increased sense of wellness

 Increased PEACE.

Our Registered Massage Therapists have extensive training in assessments, injury rehabilitation, prenatal massage, general practice, and pediatric experience as well!  They will work with you to ensure the treatment you receive is the one you want and need.

Making massage part of your regular self-care regimen will change you -- and help you make yourself a priority again.

The Treatment:

The client will undress to their level of comfort, and typically lies on a massage table throughout.  The client dictates how much conversation occurs, and the practitioner will always check in with you to ensure you are comfortable during the treatment.  Clients may fall asleep during treatment, and others may experience an emotional release, although neither of these are indicative of how good the treatment is.   We always recommend lots of water and a warm bath or shower (with Epsom salts) after treatment, to reduce the post-treatment tenderness.

Deep Tissue/Therapeutic Massage

Deep Tissue/Therapeutic Massage is designed to resolve the issues that leave you feeling sore and stiff.  We work to release the restrictions.  The work can feel deep, but we can also incorporate some relaxation techniques as well. Please tell your practitioner what you want at the time of your treatment.
